SV	Toen zeide Hazael: Waarom weent mijn heer? En hij zeide: omdat ik weet, wat kwaad gij den kinderen Israels doen zult; gij zult hun sterkten in het vuur zetten, en hun jonge manschap met het zwaard doden, en hun jonge kinderen verpletteren, en hun zwangere vrouwen opensnijden.
WLC	וַיֹּ֣אמֶר חֲזָאֵ֔ל מַדּ֖וּעַ אֲדֹנִ֣י בֹכֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֡אמֶר כִּֽי־יָדַ֡עְתִּי אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־תַּעֲשֶׂה֩ לִבְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל רָעָ֗ה מִבְצְרֵיהֶ֞ם תְּשַׁלַּ֤ח בָּאֵשׁ֙ וּבַחֻֽרֵיהֶם֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב תַּהֲרֹ֔ג וְעֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם תְּרַטֵּ֔שׁ וְהָרֹתֵיהֶ֖ם תְּבַקֵּֽעַ׃
Trans.	wayyō’mer ḥăzā’ēl madû‘a ’ăḏōnî ḇōḵeh wayyō’mer kî-yāḏ^a‘ətî ’ēṯ ’ăšer-t^a‘ăśeh liḇənê yiśərā’ēl rā‘â miḇəṣərêhem təšall^aḥ bā’ēš ûḇ^aḥurêhem b^aḥereḇ tahărōḡ wə‘ōləlêhem təraṭṭēš wəhārōṯêhem təḇaqqē‘a:

AC	יב ויאמר חזאל מדוע אדני בכה ויאמר כי ידעתי את אשר תעשה לבני ישראל רעה מבצריהם תשלח באש ובחריהם בחרב תהרג ועלליהם תרטש והרתיהם תבקע
ASV	And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child.
BE	And Hazael said, Why is my lord weeping? Then he said in answer, Because I see the evil which you will do to the children of Israel: burning down their strong towns, putting their young men to death with the sword, smashing their little ones against the stones, and cutting open the women who are with child.
Darby	And Hazael said, Why does my lord weep? And he said, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do to the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou kill with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their children, and rip up their women with child.
ELB05	Und Hasael sprach: Warum weint mein Herr? Und er sprach: Weil ich weiß, was du den Kindern Israel Übles tun wirst: ihre festen Städte wirst du in Brand stecken, und ihre Jünglinge mit dem Schwerte töten, und ihre Kindlein wirst du zerschmettern und ihre Schwangeren aufschlitzen.
LSG	Hazaël dit: Pourquoi mon seigneur pleure-t-il? Et Elisée répondit: Parce que je sais le mal que tu feras aux enfants d'Israël; tu mettras le feu à leurs villes fortes, tu tueras avec l'épée leurs jeunes gens, tu écraseras leurs petits enfants, et tu fendras le ventre de leurs femmes enceintes.
Sch	Da sprach Hasael: Warum weint mein Herr? Er sprach: Weil ich weiß, was für Unheil du den Kindern Israel antun wirst! Du wirst ihre festen Städte mit Feuer verbrennen und ihre junge Mannschaft mit dem Schwert töten und ihre Kindlein zerschmettern und die Frauen aufschlitzen, die guter Hoffnung sind.
Web	And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do to the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
